CDYOC Year End Awards
A Long History of Talented dogs and their "People"
The CDOTC Year End Awards are presented at the club's AGM which is usually held at the beginning of February. These awards bear the names of dogs and handlers who have made significant achievements over the course of the previous year. These trophies and plaques are a tangible memory of those who have come and gone, a celebration of those who are still with us, and an inspiration to newcomers.
Club Award Criteria
(Awards may be shared in the event of a tie)
Willing Trophy - Highest qualifying score in an AIOC trial by a novice dog trained at CDOTC by a CDTTC member.
Perviale Trophy - For the highest qualifying score in an AIOC trial by an Open Dog trained at CDOTC by a CDOTC member.
McLaughlin Trophy - The highest qualifying score in an AIOC trial by a dog trained at CDOTC by a CDOTC member.
Elsie Hammond Trophy - For a dog trained at CDOTC that has made the most progress.
EL Hunt Trophy - For the highest qualifying score at any CKC Obedience Trial
Samshel Trophy - For the highest qualifying score by a Samoyed or Sheltie in AIOC or CKC Obedience Trial
Wilddeer Trophy - In memory of Thurley Duck. This trophy is awarded to a CDOTC dog trained by a CDOTC member who has earned the most Obedience titles in the calendar year. These obedience titles will include all classes and titles in CKC/ AIOC (and international obedience titles)
CDOTC 50th Anniversary Trophy - Awarded to a dog trained at CDOTC by a COTC member who has earned the most titles in the calendar year.
CDOTC Versatility Trophy - Awarded to a dog trained at CDOTC trained by a CDOTC member that has earned the most titles in three or more areas of competition, ONE of those titles MUST be an Obedience title. Additional titles may come from other areas such as: field, scent detection, barn hunt, conformation, rally, tracking, agility, herding, draft dog, lure coursing. etc.
Sheilah Roberts Memorial Trophy - Awarded for the highest qualifying score by a herding dog in an AIOC trial trained at CDOTC by a CDOTC member.
Rally - O Trophy - Awarded to a dog trained at CDOTC by a CDOTC member who earned the most Rally titles in a calendar year. Titles may include CKC, AKC, and AIOC.
Goldnguns Retrivers Achievement Award - The highest points accumulated in Obedience and Field Trials or Retrieving Tests in a calendar year.
